We thank you for your interest in our Yellow House project. We have 4 levels of involvement for your consideration. We encourage you to take your time and be comfortable with the project and the people before you decide to commit your time and expertise. We therefore invite you to our next session/meeting for you to get to know us and us to get to know you. There are no formalities or obligations and you can choose how much or how long you want to be part of Yellow House or the Friends of UNICEF. It is important that you yourself have fun in the process of helping children in Malaysia.

The 4 Levels are:

1. Core Committee (includes Young People)
 -Overall direction of Yellow House / Friends of UNICEF.
 -Oversee and manage resources of Yellow House: volunteers, finances, sponsors, art materials,  cleanliness, publicity, etc.
 -Minimum required involvement: one day a month.

2. Working Committee (includes Young People)
-Project basis
-Include members not in the Core Committee.
-Required involvement: project duration.

3. Volunteers (includes Young People)
-General members helping in planned events/activities and not involving in any organizing, planning, meetings, etc.
-May be involved in specific areas of competency, physical involvement or otherwise, e.g. administration, specialized expertise, contacts, etc.
-Provide ideas, feedback, etc.

4. Participants (includes Children)
-Not volunteers (yet).
-Want to be informed about planned events/activities.
-Parents bringing their children.
-Want to come and enjoy the events/activities.
-Want to meet people.

For your information, the Friends of UNICEF consists of a group of individual and corporate volunteers working with UNICEF, Malaysia for the benefit of children in Malaysia and one of our objectives is to promote and implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
